Get first look previews and news on the new Silver Wolves blog. Love on the Dark Side If you can't wait for your Mathilde Madden paranormal fix, pick up Love on the Dark Side--This collection of paranormal erotica includes 'What Witches Want' and will tempt you further into the world of Silver Wolves. In November, look out for the release of Lust Bites, including Mathilde's 'Under Her Skin' novella, and then in December the second book in The Silver Wolves trilogy arrives in the UK. Equal Opportunities Equal Opportunities has won Mathilde Madden the title of Writer of the Year at the 2007 Erotic Awards. The Silver Collar and The Silver Crown covers confirmed.
Eleven years ago a werewolf attack ripped Iris's life apart. Her twin brother Matthew was killed. Her boyfriend Alfie was infected. And Iris was changed forever. Now Iris is a werewolf hunter. And Alfie is back in Oxford in need of her help. But Iris doesn't help werewolves. She kills them. Alfie desperately needs to find the Silver Collar. An ancient artefact that may help repair his fragmenting body. But Iris will only help Alfie on one condition: if he agrees to defy the rules of his kind and help her avenge Matthew's death. Something Alfie just can't do. Alfie and Iris both think that what happened between them eleven years ago
has destroyed the love and trust they had for each other forever. The Silver
Collar shows them that they're both wrong.
Every full moon, Iris kills werewolves. It's what she's good at. What she's trained for. She'd never imagined doing anything else. Until she fell in love with one of them. Being a professional werewolf hunter and dating a werewolf really does seem to be a conflict of interests. Especially with a powerful group of witches claiming her as some kind of werewolf-killing chosen one - destined to save humanity from the wolves at their door - and a new boss, Blake, who is also her ex-husband and not exactly sympathetic to Iris's new relationship. But all Iris wants is to snuggle up with her alpha wolf and be left alone. He might turn into a monster once a month, but in a lot of ways Iris does too. Scary publishing I've signed the contract for Under Her Skin. The vampire novella I'm writing also known as but not actually called Vampires! Vampires! Vampires! It will be out on 8 th November in an anthology which will also feature Kristina Lloyd and Portia da Costa. Meaning the end of this year will mean a publishing roller coaster of
But the very first taste of the 'Silver' universe will be in The Black Lace Book of Paranormal Erotica out in September, which will feature Blake and Lilith in a story called 'Spellbound' (yeah, yeah, it's Bondage! Bondage! Bondage! and I am *so* clever with titles). I wrote this story because anti hero and heroine Blake and Lilith quickly became my favourite characters in The Silver Collar and I am so glad they are going to be the first off the blocks. These dates are the UK releases. The US and commonwealth follow two months later just to confuse me and make me forget everything. Um, yeah, a lot of books. I've written about half of it. Still quite scary. It's not called scary porn for nothing. (Actually it's called paranormal erotica by everyone but me and Garth Marenghi – but that isn't my fault.) Media Whoring I was indeed in the Daily Express – article was fine, v. positive - and as a result then went on BBC Radio Oxford's afternoon lifestyle show and got asked how important I thought fantasy was in a relationship. Honestly, depends who your having the relationship with. If it's your imaginary Cylon girlfriend then very. I am going to be in the May issue of Cosmo (in the UK) talking about male/male erotica for women. B is for Bondage This delicious book is out now and features my story Pervertable about a sub/dom gay couple buying vegetables. Seriously, that is what the story is about. Famous fans Mat Fraser, disability sex god and thalidomide ninja likes Equal Opportunities so much I have now sent him 3 copies to give to very important people. Well, so he claims; he is probably putting them on Amazon Marketplace. Reflection's Edge I've reviewed two more wonderful genre fiction titles over at Reflection's Edge. In this month's issue (March) I also have a short article up called 'Why Review Books?' A kind of manifesto. RWA conference I won’t be at the RWA conference in Dallas this summer, but my friend, Ellora's Cave's Mary Altman, will be and she's running a workshop on darker themes in erotic romance, which will use Equal Opportunities as a featured text. My Space I have a My Space page. Ha ha, call *that* news! But I do. Get listed as my friend and come the autumn I will be besieging you with bulletins about my many, many book releases. New Releases February 8th sees the UK release of Sex in Public featuring my story Public Relations about a very bossy woman who likes bossing men into tying her up. This is one of my favourite kinky dynamics to write and I love the story. My editor liked this story so much he commissioned my Silver Werewolf Trilogy so I feel kind of smooshy about it. The story that paved the way. As ever, the book comes out in the US about 2 months later than in the UK, but it is available to pre-order. (US pre-orders here) Other Writing I am delighted to announce that I am joining the editorial team at the glorious Reflection's Edge. I will be reviewing books, mostly erotica and erotic romance, but I want to mix it up a bit with different genres and cross genre too. If you have written a book that you think I would be interested in reviewing please use the form on the contacts page. Media Whoring I will be in Daily Express Woman on Valentine's Day. I have not seen the article yet but fingers crossed it will be more 'writing smut = yay', than 'look at this idiot'. Events 17 th -21 st May I will be appearing on the slash fanfiction panel 'Slashing the Velvet' talking about the intersections between writing slash fanfiction and writing erotic novels. 28 th July I will be at this fabulous event which is being run by my partner Ewan Kirkland. Other The February website update includes a lot more links to other writers and stuff on a new page called 'love' which will also contain review quotes because I need love too. |
